ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENTS
Pesticides and herbicides can be of concern on agricultural and residential properties. Some pesticides and herbicides readily degrade, but other, older formulations can be persistent and can be very expensive to clean up lead arsenate, used principally before is one pesticide/herbicide that property buyers need to be careful about. Testing is usually not expensive, and, can avoid delays in site plan approvals if the testing shows minimal problems. All properties to be residentially developed should be checked for historical pesticide/herbicide presence.
