OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF RT SUCCESSION PLAN

RT is pleased to announce, effective as of Jan 2, 2020, that its Board of Directors approved the closing of a transaction that assures a successful transition of the company.  The transaction involves the purchase of the interests of RT’s President and Founder, Gary Brown, P.E. and others, by a group of internal employees at RT, all of whom have been members of RT Senior Management for 15+ years.  Members of the new ownership group include Justin Lauterbach, QEP, Walter Hungarter, P.E., Craig Herr, P.G., LSRP, and Chris Ward, LSRP.

Gary Brown remains an integral part of the RT team and will maintain his respective roles as Professional Engineer and New Jersey LSRP on both existing and future RT projects.  RT’s Board has approved an employment agreement for Mr. Brown, in which he has taken on the new title of Director and will remain an RT employee for at least the next 3 to 5 years.  RT’s new Board of Directors, of which Gary Brown remains a member, has appointed Justin Lauterbach as the new President of RT.

Ensuring appropriate succession planning for the company has been one of the most important priorities of RT’s Board in recent years.  The Board is confident that the changes in leadership will allow RT’s team to continue to provide quality environmental services to its existing client base and any new clients.  The RT team will continue to work closely together to provide clients with the same technically sound consulting services they are accustomed to receiving, rooted in practicality and reason.

RT would also like to take this opportunity to express thanks and recognize the exceptional accomplishments of Gary Brown, RT’s Founder and President over more than 30 years.  Gary possessed the courage to start a small engineering and consulting firm with two employees and one project.  Over the years, he built the company from the ground up, nurturing its expansion, and molding it into a successful corporation, with recognized expertise and clients throughout the country.  Gary’s accomplishments include providing expert testimony in Federal Court for a number of environmental cases that have achieved national media attention.  At the same time, he instilled principles of dedication, drive, and client service into his staff members; so much so that a group of them aspired to have the opportunity to contribute in the same manner and ensure the continued success of the firm alongside of him.

Feel free to reach out to any members of the RT team if you have a new or existing project you would like to discuss.  Contact information can be found on our website at www.rtenv.com.
