Environmental Scientist / Project Manager

RT Environmental Services, Inc. (RT) is a regional environmental consulting/engineering firm with three office locations that service PA, NJ, OH, NY, DE, CT, and WV. We function mainly in the private sector with projects including: Real Estate Due Diligence Services, Site Remediation, Brownfields Redevelopment, Landfill Design, E&S Plans, and Wetlands Delineation.

RT currently has an opening for an experienced environmental professional in our growing branch office located in Bridgeport, NJ, near Philadelphia. The successful candidate will interface with team members, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies with tasks conducted in the field, as well as an office environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Field activities related to soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling;
• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments & Preliminary Assessments. Conducting site inspections and report writing;
• Evaluate and interpret analytical data in support of the preparation of technical reports;
• Scheduling and implementation of field work and the ability to train new staff members.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, or related scientific discipline with 3 to 5 years of directly related technical experience;
• Must have direct knowledge of NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation and working experience with the LSRP program;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with AutoCAD and GIS a plus;
• Candidate will be detail oriented with good communication, organizational, and time management skills. Need the ability to work independently, and as a team player;
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
