ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN/ASBESTOS TECHNICIAN - BRIDGEPORT, NJ
RT currently has an opening for an environmental professional at our branch office located in Bridgeport, NJ, outside of Philadelphia.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, or related scientific discipline and 0-5 years of related technical experience in the environmental consulting/engineering, or related, industry. Entry level candidates will be considered, experience in conducting asbestos, lead paint, and/or indoor air surveys is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to take initiative and make technical decisions is a must. Good communication skills are necessary. Individual must be able to communicate with clients and work proficiently with little oversight.
- 40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper and PA/NJ ACM Certifications are a plus
Responsibilities will be commensurate with experience level and may include:
- Position involves combination of office and fieldwork
- Conducting field activities such as asbestos, lead paint, and indoor air quality surveys, multimedia sampling (soil, groundwater, vapor, surfacewater, sediment, etc), soil boring and monitoring well installations, excavation oversight, etc.
- Support the preparation of documents such as survey reports, environmental assessments, technical reports, permit applications and other required written deliverables for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies.
- This candidate will be responsible for the successful completion of tasks assigned and performed under the mentorship of an experienced geologist or scientist, including a wide variety of field and office activities for multiple projects and clients. The successful candidate will interface with team members, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory/resource agencies.
